This page which is a work just barely started, is going to be dedicated mainly to family photographs.

My dear son, niece and a friend have generously spent a lot of time scanning these photos for me.

A large portion of these photos are dedicated to victims of the Holocaust.  My parents, Sam and Sylvia had many relatives in Poland when they emigrated to Canada in the 1920's.  All of them were murdered by the Nazis.  Some of the following are links to their photographs and to letters that recently came to light.

Now, about me: If you want to read my (badly out-of-date) third-person account of myself, read my bio. To read about other piano teachers in the Hyde Park area, read about Music Teachers of Hyde Park.

Links to radio on the web:WFMT, WBEZ

WBEZ (91.5 FM) is one of the finest radio stations anywhere, and I recommend that every Chicagoan who likes to keep informed should support their efforts. I particularly recommend Jerome McDonell's program "Worldview" (12:00 PM). If you can't listen at that time, or are not in the listening area, you can stream their programs or listen to the archives on the internet.

The other wonderful radio station in Chicago is the classical music station WFMT (98.7 FM). They also stream on the internet.

A Yiddish video clip about 3 minutes, including two entertainers (I think one may be Mike Burstyn) doing a song about Yiddish dialects -- a kind of "I say po-TAH-to, you say po-TEY-to" kind of thing.

A few recipes (not my creations).
